Another Great Week at the MTC!

Hey Everyone!
Another great week at the MTC!
So at the Devotional last Tuesday, Allan F. Packer of the Seventy spoke. It was a really good talk with a lot of good points. His wife spoke first and said that the two things you must do before a mission are to learn how to work, and to learn how to get the spirit. I'm so glad I had many opportunities to do both. Brother Packer said that in order for someone to become converted, they hear what you are saying, they must remember it, they must understand what you are teaching, they must apply it into their own lives, and they must become someone new.

Fast Sunday was great. One of the best days here yet. I didn't hardly feel hungry at all the whole day. I know what it is like to be filled with the spirit. Ha its always something people say, but it really is real. Our MTC presidency spoke to us that morning for 2 hours. It was one of the best meetings ever.
Brother and Sister Wilkins spoke about faith. They said that faith in Jesus Christ motivates us to action. Without faith, we can do nothing, but with faith all things are possible. Brother and Sister Nally spoke about prayer. Brother Nally specifically talked about Joseph Smith and his first prayer. They said that prayer is the heart and soul of our religion. Brother Nally said it is important to memorize Joseph Smith's first vision and to recite it to others often. It is a powerful message.
President and Sister Brown spoke on the Savior's earthly ministry. It was really good. The Sunday night Fireside was good too.
Wayne Peterson, who used to be in the second Quorum of the Presidency spoke about the Nauvoo temple. He said that one time when asked what his crowning achievement was in the church, President Hinckley said that dedicating the Nauvoo temple was the most important thing he ever did.

I am definitely trying to improve my teaching skills because they are lacking. Czech is hard as always, but it is going well. Our teachers are really great, I love them. They help so much.

Elders Madsen and Holland are leaving in a week so I won't get to see them anymore. Oh well. I love and miss you all!
